Soil Nailing of upto 24m deep and 115mm Dia drilling have been done with Design angle, Safety point of view, and stability of slope and done for providing anchor for netting and ero- sion control mat. Erosion control mat is placed on the slope to control the soil erosion of slope and to produce natural vegetation and Greenery of area. Double Twisted netting is done to stabilized the slope and to support the erosion mat from getting failure.
It was required to carry out the trenching work to expose the pipeline by placing wooden supports below pipeline, surface preparation including removal of concrete coating and cold apply corrosive protective coating as per specifications. It was required to provide adequate protection against tidal wave with bund of boulders in PVC coated wire grid gabions, Cement Sand Bags, Geotextile Bags Wrapped with PP Rope Gabion Boxes.
Soil Nails have been designed for the existing retaining structure, considering the loading of the proposed 1.6m wall which will be constructed over the existing retaining wall. Live load as per IRC recommendations have been considered in the design.
Soil Nails of 18m-22m deep at 15 deg angle have been designed for the ex- isting embankment fills with M.S Pipe encasing with fully grouted hole of 120mm Diameter. Fur- ther soil filling and compaction need to be done to achieve the final proposed slope at 37 de- grees. This will result in thickness of filling ranging from 1m to 3m.To stabilize the filled material with flexible earth anchors which is called as Terra lock system and Erosion control mat.
A series of self draining, flexible, eco friendly Gabion Walls have been provided in Jejuri, Maharashtra, for WMI KONECRANES INDIA LTD. Gabion with its high porosity of the order of 30-35% became the ideal solution. Due to the presence of black soil and considering its soil properties it was economical to construct gabion wall over the others in comparison.
Reinforced Earth Wall with concrete panels as facia and Paraweb as reinforcement was selected as the best solution for the above problem.Basically 3 types of panels were used as facia.The Standard Panels were T-shaped,some of the top panels cruciform shaped of varying height and the bottom panels used were half panels. Some special end panels and corner panels were also used.The project was completed 6 months in the scheduled time.
:Rock was anchored with different lengths at different heights of Hill with appropriate Grouting material.Double Twist mesh and HEA panels were layed on the hill to trap the rock if any occurance of rock sliding over hill.Drain pipes were provided on the lower height of hill to release the water pressure percolating through hill.In addition coir mat was layed on to the sloping top region of hill to prevent soil erosion.
After site visit & detailed engineering analysis, the solution comprising HEA Panel (type-300x300) with 8mm rope wire diameter + DT Mesh in secured drapery system was designed by Maccaferri ,India.
The Project involved launching of Pre-filled Sack gabions and thereafterconstructing 4m height and 330Mts long Gabion retaining wall over launched sack gabions bed.
